Search & Selection UK is recruiting for a Supported Accommodation Manager to oversee a specialist supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–24 with complex mental health needs, based in West Hampstead, Camden.
This is an opportunity to manage a specialist, seven-bed service supporting vulnerable young people who require a higher level of accommodation-based support while they work towards improved mental health, greater independence and more stable living arrangements.
The service forms part of Camden’s Young People’s Accommodation Pathway and provides temporary specialist accommodation for young people who are not yet ready to live independently or in less intensive supported accommodation.
The service provides seven beds within a specialist high-needs supported accommodation setting.
It supports young people aged 16–24 who have complex mental health needs and require a structured, specialist environment to help them progress towards semi-independent living.
Young people accessing the service may include:
All young people placed within the service will have complex mental health needs and remain under the care of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or Adult Mental Health Services, which will continue to provide their ongoing treatment.
The service focuses on supporting young people’s recovery, stability and personal development while preparing them for greater independence.
We are seeking a manager to lead this specialist supported accommodation service, with a focus on providing an effective, supportive environment for young people experiencing complex mental health challenges.
The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting the service’s overall purpose: helping young people improve their mental health, develop independent living skills and progress towards suitable longer-term accommodation.
We are looking for an individual who understands the challenges faced by vulnerable young people with complex mental health needs and the importance of specialist supported accommodation in their recovery and development.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a specialist seven-bed supported accommodation service within Camden’s Young People’s Accommodation Pathway.
The service has a clear purpose: to help vulnerable young people with complex mental health needs achieve greater stability, develop their independence and prepare for the next stage of their lives.
