The role – Residential Support Worker

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping children to create positive change in their lives. You will be a mentor, a role model, and a source of daily encouragement.

Responsibilities – Residential Support Worker

  • Develop and implement personalised care plans to support the unique needs of each resident.
  • Create a safe and respectful environment that fosters personal growth and rehabilitation.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance, helping residents understand and address their behaviours.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
  • Organise and participate in group activities to promote social skills, self-esteem, and positive interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to track progress and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements – Residential Support Worker

  • Genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Patience and resilience to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a residential setting (desired, not required).
