Our client, a highly respected provider of specialist residential care and education, is opening a brand-new 2-bed home for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD) and complex needs in Leigh, Wigan. They are seeking a passionate and dynamic Registered Manager to lead this exciting new venture and grow with the organisation as they expand their presence in the region.

The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing this new home as a haven for young people with EBD and complex needs. You will:

  • Be instrumental in setting up and registering the home with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Build and lead a dedicated team, fostering a positive, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for the young people in your care.
  • Create and implement high-quality care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and development.
  • Drive the home’s success, achieving high standards and positive outcomes for the young people.
  • Contribute to the organization’s growth strategy in the area, with significant opportunities for career progression as the company expands.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within children’s residential care, ideally with young people with EBD and complex needs.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and the ability to achieve Good or Outstanding outcomes.
  • A passion for creating positive change and a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • The vision and ambition to grow with the organisation and shape its future in the region.
