Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established and operational 3-bedded home in Wythenshawe, Manchester. This home supports young people aged 7-17 with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the daily running of the home, ensuring the highest standard of care for the young people in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
  • Lead and develop an experienced team of staff, promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Ofsted), maintain the home’s current “Good” rating, and strive for excellence.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently.
  • Work closely with the clinical team and PBS practitioner to implement individual care plans tailored to each young person’s complex needs.
  • Foster relationships with external stakeholders, families, and local authorities.

What We’re Looking For:

  •  Ideally you would have achieved / be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Services) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership or management role within a children’s residential care setting.
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory framework (Ofsted).
  • Passion for working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
