Are you an experienced Registered Manager, or a highly experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step?

We are recruiting a Registered Manager for a two-bed children’s home in Thamesmead, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The home has been operating for approximately one year and is currently rated Good by Ofsted. The provider is seeking a dedicated leader who can build on this foundation, develop the team and drive the service towards an Outstanding rating.

The role

• Lead the day-to-day running of the home, delivering care centred on each young person’s needs.
• Support, develop and motivate the staff team.
• Maintain strong safeguarding practices and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee care planning, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Build positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals.
• Lead the home through Ofsted inspections, maintaining Good standards and working towards Outstanding.

About you

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care is preferred.
• Applications are also welcomed from highly experienced Deputy Managers who can demonstrate their readiness to lead a home.
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards it, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted expectations and experience supporting children and young people with EBD.
• A supportive leadership style and a commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
