About the Client

Our client delivers high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, complex needs, and learning disabilities. Their services focus on safety, therapeutic support, and helping young people build bright, independent futures.

The Role

This is a senior operational role that combines strategic leadership with practical oversight. You’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the future of residential services in the region, working closely with Registered Managers to drive excellence in care, compliance, and outcomes.

You will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of multiple homes
  • Act as Responsible Individual for the region’s Ofsted-registered services
  • Provide mentorship, supervision, and performance management to Registered Managers
  • Ensure services consistently meet and exceed Ofsted standards
  • Support growth, service development, and improvement planning
  • Champion a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice

This is a role for someone who thrives on accountability, has a sharp focus on compliance and quality, and understands the importance of culture in creating safe and nurturing homes.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in residential childcare, ideally in an EBD and/or LD setting
  • A confident understanding of children’s home regulations and Ofsted frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and manage geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and crisis management skills
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
