Search & Selection UK is recruiting a Regional Director to oversee multiple children’s residential services across the West Midlands. This is a senior leadership role for a resilient, values-driven professional passionate about delivering outstanding care to children and young people.

The Role

As Regional Director, you will combine strategic leadership with operational oversight to ensure excellence across residential services. You’ll work closely with Registered Managers to drive high-quality care, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple children’s homes.
• Act as Responsible Individual for regional Ofsted-registered services.
• Mentor, supervise, and manage performance for Registered Managers.
• Ensure all services consistently meet and exceed Ofsted standards.
• Lead growth initiatives, service development, and improvement planning.
• Champion a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.

Person Specification:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in residential childcare, ideally working with EBD and/or LD children.
• Strong knowledge of children’s home regulations and Ofsted frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage geographically dispersed teams.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, and crisis management skills.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
