Search & Selection UK Limited is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and fast-growing provider of therapeutic residential care and supported living services for children and young people.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join the senior team. This new role will complement an already established operational structure and ensure consistent, outstanding practice across the organisation.
This opportunity is ideal for an ex-Ofsted professional, a Regulation 44 consultant, or a quality-focused leader with significant experience within children’s residential care.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving quality and compliance across a range of services, working closely with Registered Managers and senior leadership to ensure regulatory standards are not just met but exceeded.
This is a strategic role that combines auditing, mentoring, performance oversight, and service improvement. You’ll also play a key role in preparing for inspections (Ofsted) and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal audits and compliance reviews across residential and supported living services.
- Support services in achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding ratings.
- Monitor service performance, identifying risks and driving quality improvements.
- Act as a critical friend to Registered Managers, offering practical and regulatory guidance.
- Contribute to developing policy, safeguarding frameworks and service standards.
- Analyse trends and performance data to inform decision-making and compliance strategy.
- Support readiness for Ofsted inspections, including documentation and staff preparedness.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in quality/compliance within children’s residential care.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted and relevant safeguarding legislation.
- Experience of carrying out audits, writing reports, and supporting service improvement plans.
- A collaborative, solution-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly across Berkshire and Hampshire.
Desirable
- Experience as an Ofsted Inspector or Reg 44 Visitor.
- Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent.
- Experience with multi-site responsibility across mixed provision (residential & supported living).
