An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to lead and oversee the opening two new 2-bedded children’s home in Nottingham, specialising in providing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

In this role, you will receive support from both the Operations Manager and the Responsible Individual (RI), making it an ideal opportunity for a motivated professional looking to advance their career and make a meaningful impact in residential childcare.

The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the homes, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. You will lead and motivate your team to deliver a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

This is a key role in ensuring that the homes achieve and maintains ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings from Ofsted and provides positive outcomes for the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the opening and operational management of a two new 2 bedded home for children with EBD.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain high standards of care.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the residential care team to deliver excellent care and support.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each young person.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and RI to ensure the home’s success.
  • Monitor and manage the home’s performance, ensuring it remains financially viable and operationally effective.
  • Promote a positive culture, encouraging the professional development of your team.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are adhered to, maintaining the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within residential childcare, within the last 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and experience in delivering positive inspection outcomes.
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Be willing to, or have already achieved, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • A passion for supporting children with EBD and a commitment to making a positive difference.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
