Requirements:
- DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People / Adult Management (or willingness to work towards).
- Proven senior-level experience in residential care for adults/young people.
- Strong practice skills in managing challenging behaviours.
- Solid knowledge of OFSTED standards, National Care Standards, Care Act and relevant regulations.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Confident working on own initiative and leading others.
- Ability to support and encourage professional growth within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager across two services, ensuring high standards of care.
- Oversee staffing levels to meet individual needs.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the home’s Statement of Purpose.
- Lead on staff induction, supervision, appraisals and ongoing support.
- Ensure the service meets all regulatory standards and exceeds expectations.
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant environment.
- Work proactively with external bodies to drive continuous improvement.
