Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We’re a small, 2-bed children’s home in Halesowen, supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We’re looking for a hands-on, compassionate Deputy Manager to help lead our team and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and valued.

Your role:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our home’s culture and ensuring the highest standards of care. You’ll:

  • Support the Home Manager in daily operations, staff coordination, and leadership
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate Residential Support Workers
  • Help recruit, train, and develop staff to deliver the best possible care
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are always followed and maintained
  • Keep clear, accurate records and reports for inspections and regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with families, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care
  • Manage resources and budgets efficiently
  • Step in for the Home Manager when needed to keep the home running smoothly
  • Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children and staff alike

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in residential childcare, ideally with leadership responsibility
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • A resilient, professional, and child-focused approach
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00 per year

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (9am–5pm)
