We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a 3-bed Children’s Home for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and committed childcare professional to develop into a Registered Manager role, with supervision and coaching from an experienced RM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager with daily operations and Ofsted compliance
- Lead and motivate the care team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care
- Take a hands-on role in care planning, safeguarding, and staff supervision
- Help drive the home’s culture and ensure consistent, child-centred practice
- Act as a key point of leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
- Supervisory experience as a Senior Support Worker or Deputy
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Working towards or willing to complete the Level 5 Leadership & Management
- Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people
