Are you an experienced Registered Manager ready for your next challenge? I’m working with a well-established care provider that is opening a brand new 3-bed children’s home in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a home from the very beginning, putting your stamp on the service and developing a strong, supportive team around you.

You’ll be leading a home that supports children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), with a real focus on delivering outstanding care, supporting personal development, and creating a safe, nurturing environment.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for launching and leading this brand new children’s home, ensuring it is compliant, nurturing, and meets the highest standards of care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading your team to deliver personalised care plans for young people with complex needs
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining a passionate and skilled team
  • Building a positive, child-centred culture where children feel safe, valued, and empowered
  • Ensuring the home meets regulatory standards and is Ofsted ready
  • Managing the home’s budget and commercial performance
  • Building positive relationships with families, external professionals, and stakeholders
  • Championing a culture of safeguarding and continuous improvement

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience managing children’s residential care services, with a track record of delivering good or outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 Leadership & Management preferred or willingness to work towards this
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted Quality Standards, SCCIF, and safeguarding legislation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
