Dual Registered Manager

Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two outstanding & good rated children’s residential homes in Eastham. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced leader to take responsibility for two high-quality services, comprising a solo placement home and a three-bed home supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Both homes have achieved an Outstanding rating, providing an excellent foundation for a manager who is passionate about maintaining exceptional standards of care, safeguarding and positive outcomes for children.

This role would suit an established Dual Registered Manager or an experienced Registered Manager looking to take the next step into a dual-management position. It may also appeal to experienced managers who are ready for a new challenge and want to continue making a meaningful difference without compromising on the quality of care they deliver.

The Role

As Dual Registered Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across both homes, ensuring that children receive safe, consistent and individualised care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running and overall performance of both children’s homes.
  • Maintaining outstanding standards of care and regulatory compliance in line with Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Leading, developing and supporting Registered Managers, deputies and residential care teams, as applicable to the service structure.
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are robust and children’s welfare remains the priority.
  • Promoting positive outcomes for children through therapeutic, trauma-informed and child-centred approaches.
  • Monitoring quality assurance, care planning, risk assessments and placement stability.
  • Building positive relationships with placing authorities, social workers, families and other professionals.
  • Supporting staff development, retention and a positive team culture.
  • Driving continuous improvement while maintaining the high standards already achieved across both homes.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care.
  • Has a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children’s residential quality standards.
  • Has experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex emotional or behavioural needs.
  • Can demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and quality assurance skills.
  • Is passionate about delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children.
  • Can confidently oversee two services and maintain consistent standards across both.

Previous dual-management experience would be advantageous, although an experienced Registered Manager ready to progress may also be considered.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of approximately £70,000 per annum.
  • Additional bonus opportunities.
  • Responsibility for two established, Outstanding-rated children’s homes.
  • A varied leadership role covering a solo placement service and a three-bed EBD home.
  • The opportunity to build on existing success and influence the continued development of both services.
