About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two new 3-bedded children’s homes in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of high-quality care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. You will be responsible for managing both homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of both children’s homes.
• Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and safety.
• Lead, support, and develop staff teams across both homes.
• Promote effective teamwork and staff performance.
• Create and implement individual care plans.
• Support children’s emotional, educational, and social development.

Compliance and Quality

• Ensure both homes comply with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and maintain high standards.
• Promote continuous improvement in service quality.

Operational Management

• Manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Deliver high-quality care within financial guidelines.
• Create a positive and engaging environment for children and staff.

Requirements

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People), or equivalent.
• Registered Manager with Ofsted, or willing to register.

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in children’s residential care management.
• Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or complex needs.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.

Skills
